Zirkzee reveals interest to play for Netherland than Nigeria.
German football forward, Joshua Zirkzee has finally revealed his interest to play for the Netherland than playing for Nigeria.
Born to a Nigeria parents in the Netherlands, 18-year-old Bayern Munich forward has played for the Dutch at the U-17 level.
Since then, Zirkzee has attracted much interest from the Nigeria Football Federation and the Head coach of Super Eagles Gernot Rohr after finding his way into Bayern Munich’s first-team this season.
“No, I’m not really working on that yet. I’m not a regular based player here, so I don’t think I should think about it then, he told VTBL, when asked about playing for Netherlands in the competition.
“I don’t think I should think about it then, but I have also seen how fast things can go, so of course, it is very secretly in the back of your mind.
“Oranje is a dream and as a young footballer I think it makes sense to dream about it.”
Joshua Zarkzee has made his Bayern Munich debut in a Champions League match against Tottenham back in December, and he has also registered three goals in five Bundesliga outings in this campaign.
