The club has confirmed that two of it’s players have tested positive for Covid-19 on Friday 25th December.
Gabriel Jesus and Kyler Walker of Manchester City tests positive to the virus on Christmas day. As at the time the test result was out, the two players have gone for compulsory self-isolate.
Meanwhile two staff members of the club with name with held have also tested positive to the virus.

The two players will miss out their match against Newcastle on boxing day due to the test result and may not be present in some of their key matches untill 6th January 2021.
A statement released by the club on Friday says: “All four personnel will now observe a period of self-isolation in accordance with Premier League and UK Government protocol on quarantine,”
“Everyone at the club wishes our colleagues a speedy recovery over the Christmas period ahead of their return to work, training and competition.”
