Real Madrid Player, James Rodriguez would be leaving his club, Real Madrid for Everton on Wednesday.
The Real Madrid winger is on the verge to join the England Premier League club by Wednesday.
According to Sky Sports, an agreement has been made between the Spanish club and Everton over the transfer of the player could be less than 48 hours away, with the Colombia international who is expected to undergo medical check later this week. The agreement is to see Rodriquez work hand in hand with Everton manager, Carlo Ancelotti at Goodison Park for a third time, having played under him at Real Madrid and Bayern Munich in the past.
However, Rodriquez whose salary is around £200,000 a week at Real Madrid, has been deemed surplus to requirements by the Los Blancos coach, Zinedine Zidane.
The 29-year-old winger struggled for games last season, making only 14 appearances for the La Liga champions in all competitions.
Rodriquez, who has only 12 more months left before his contract with the Spanish club expires is keen to sign a three-year deal with Ancelotti’s side.
Meanwhile Everton manager, Carlo Ancelotti was asked last time, about the possibility of signing Rodriquez, but the Toffees boss attached little importance to the prospect that no genuine approach had been made for the forward.
Ancelotti said: “I like, I like him a lot as a player.”
“When I left Real Madrid, James Rodriguez followed me to Munich. And played.
“He also followed me as a rumour to Napoli, and now he’s following me here to Everton as a rumour.
“I have to be honest. I like him a lot. But he is a Real Madrid player. And I think he’ll still be a Real Madrid player.”
